During Berlin Fashion Week, the Berliner Salon presents young fashion at the Gemäldegalerie. Around 50 artists are given the opportunity to present their creations to an international audience. With its presentation in the culturally and historically significant Gemäldegalerie, the Berliner Salon once again emphasises the connection between art and design.
Berlin Short Film Festival

The Berlin Short Film Festival aims to connect filmmakers from all over Europe. The format has long been established: in 2026, the festival will enter its 14th round. Every year, dozens of short films are screened at the Babylon cinema. The festival offers interested parties and fans the opportunity to take a look at the future of the short film world. All films are shown in English or with English subtitles.
Textiles Market from the Netherlands in Prenzlauer Berg

Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival

The Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale for short) is one of the A-list film festivals. It is one of the most important events in the film industry worldwide.
Up to 400 films in various categories and genres are shown. Every year, around 300,000 tickets are sold to the public. In 2026, Wim Wenders will be the jury president of the Berlinale.
Berlin Valentine's Run
15 February 2026, Gardens of the World
The Valentine's Run in the Gardens of the World is a relatively new addition to Berlin's running calendar. Here, people run together, whether as best friends, couples or parent-child teams. The route leads through the magnificent Gardens of the World and scores points with its paved paths without any elevation gain. Athletes can choose between a 3-kilometre run (First Love), a 5-kilometre run (Little Love) and a 10-kilometre run (Great Love).
Eat Berlin
19 February to 1 March 2026
In 2026, the gourmet festival Eat Berlin will take place for the 15th time. The diverse food events will be held at various locations throughout the capital. A new feature of the Eat Berlin Festival is the Eat Berlin Market in the new Kalle Halle in Neukölln. Top chefs from Berlin will be showcasing their interpretation of high-quality street or market food. Top wines will be on offer at the VDP wine stand and in the French wine bar. Admission to the Eat Berlin Market starts from €39.
Japanese Market Berlin
22 February 2026, Festsaal Kreuzberg
The Japanese culture and design market will take place in the Festsaal Kreuzberg. There will be art, beautiful objects and typical delicacies from Japan. The programme includes demonstrations, workshops and hands-on activities that invite visitors to immerse themselves in Japanese culture. Another highlight is the kimono fashion show with musical accompaniment. Japanese food will also be available.
